Located in the centre of Kilkenny, Brewery Corner, Kilkenny’s first craft beer bar, required a brand refresh to portrait a confident, modern, and innovative venue.

 

The original logo was traditional and rooted in Irish heritage. Nothing wrong with heritage, but in this case, the look and feel was out of sync with the new food offering, knowledgeable friendly staff and amazing cocktails.

 

I was initially inspired by the typeface of a vintage Western movie poster by Robert Middelton, La Grande Sfida. I loved the edginess of the typeface and the bold use of colours.

 

Keeping in mind the various application a logo has, I created a brand Identity along with exterior signage, awning, menus, promotional flyer, bollard, and a trifold visitor brochure.

 

The updated brand refresh has been implemented and it's now visible at 29 Parliament St. in Kilkenny and on social media.
